Since March, public access to playgrounds was restricted. As the state begins to relax its COVID-19 guidelines, what was once off limits is now open with limits. This includes the Splash Pad at Elk Ridge Park.
Since the opening of the Splash Pad, we have had broken glass and debris scattered across the Splash Pad. Vandalism of public parks costs money, requires time to repair the damage, mars our community’s image, and discourages our residents from enjoying their time outdoors.
We are prideful of our City, our parks and outdoor amenities. We ask that you join us in caring for these amenities used by your family, friends and neighbors. If you come across vandalism while enjoying the City’s parks and trails, contact the Douglas County Sheriff or the City of Castle Pines. If you or someone you know witnesses damage or has information regarding vandalism damage, contact the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
