It's that time of year again! When the snow starts to fall, most of us dream about powder skiing and snow days. But for our snow removal crews, this is when they get to work. Removing snow from our streets is crucial to keeping our community safe.
The City of Castle Pines Public Works Department is responsible for snow and ice removal on public streets within the City, including nearly 36 miles of roadway and 127 cul-de-sacs. When snow is predicted, snow removal personnel report for duty and are assigned designated snow routes ahead of time.
New this season, you can track which roads have already been cleared by plows with our interactive map!
Remember, safety is our number one concern. If you're out and about driving in snowy weather, slow down and make sure to give our plows plenty of room.
