Last night, the Castle Pines City Council approved a Resolution declaring support of the City of Boulder, Colorado’s law enforcement community, the employees of King Soopers, and the victims and families of Monday’s tragic shooting.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CASTLE PINES, COLORADO, IN SUPPORT OF THE CITY OF BOULDER, COLORADO'S LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY, THE EMPLOYEES OF KING SOOPERS, AND THE VICTIMS AND FAMILIES OF MONDAY'S TRAGIC SHOOTING
WHEREAS, the City Council is both outraged and saddened by the tragic deaths that occurred Monday night at a neighborhood King Soopers in the City of Boulder; and
WHEREAS, the City Council supports the residents of Boulder, the Boulder City Council, Boulder law enforcement officers, and the City staff in their time of grief and disbelief at this tragic event; and
WHEREAS, the Council strongly supports the law enforcement response to this event, grieves the loss of a sworn officer and his family, and stands by Colorado's law enforcement community; and
WHEREAS, the Council supports the employees of King Soopers and the work they have done for the communities they serve and their unwavering dedication in the face of adversity; and
WHEREAS, the Council's heart goes out to the innocent victims who lost their lives in this tragic and baseless attack and to the families that must now deal with this act of senseless violence.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CASTLE PINES, COLORADO: The City Council hereby adopts Resolution 21-18, a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Castle Pines, Colorado, in support of the city of Boulder, Colorado's law enforcement community, the employees of King Soopers, and the victims and families of Monday's tragic shooting.
