Castle Pines City Clerk Named VP of Colorado Municipal Clerks Association

We are excited to announce Tobi Basile, City Clerk, has been named Vice President of the Colorado Municipal Clerks Association.

“We are proud to have a City Clerk who continually goes above and beyond for this team and our residents,” said Mayor Tera Radloff. “Her appointment speaks volumes about her dedication to this city and her role. We are grateful to have her as a member of this team. She continues to be a vital role in our organization.”

As the Vice President, Tobi will represent Colorado counties statewide. The Colorado Municipal Clerks Association (CMCA) educates Municipal Clerks by offering professional development opportunities.  CMCA is composed of Colorado’s 64 County Clerks and their designee. Tobi was elected by her peers to serve on the association’s executive board as vice president for a one-year term.

In this role, she will represent all Colorado members at annual meetings in 2021, where she will participate in planning the Association’s goals for the upcoming year, transitioning outgoing and incoming Committee Chairs, and voting on by-law amendments for the association.

Tobi has served as Castle Pines City Clerk since 2018, when she was hired by the city manager.

During her tenure with the City of Castle Pines, Tobi has contributed her knowledge and experience toward Castle Pines’ successful transition to Home Rule and the approval of the Home Rule Charter. She manages City records, conducts City Council meetings and minutes and ensures the City’s official reports, legal documents and financial records are accurately filed. She also oversees the responsibility of recording all real estate and business transactions and ensures that the public has access to public records.

“It’s an honor to have a member of the City of Castle Pines' staff participate in a state-wide organization of this caliber,” said Michael Penny, City Manager. “I’m very proud of Tobi and proud to have her on our team.”
